I have to say, I consider myself a beach bum (In a good way). I love the beach. From the sunshine and water, to the lack of clothing, I find it relaxing, spiritual, and sexy all at the same time. That being said, I would like to talk a little about what I call the "Golden Triangle" of Hallandale / Hollywood, Sunny Isles, and Aventura in South Florida. What a great place to be if you love beaches, restaurants, shopping malls, and even night life.
I myself live in Hallandale Beach. This morning my wife felt like something healthy for breakfast, so we decided to go to Granny Feelgood's in the Promenade Shops in Aventura. I got there in about 8 minutes. We were looking forward to our feel good breakfast, but when we arrived we realized it was closed. No problem. We walked across the parking lot to Juice and Java which was open and we had a very nice organic breakfast anyway. Two healthy alternatives in one place. Never mind that down the street there is another shopping plaza with a Whole foods! After that I still needed a something toxic (habits) so on my way home I stopped at the Cuban Bodega across the street from my building and had myself a cafe con leche which hit the spot.
In my neighborhood you can rent a condo for as little as $900 per month to $40,000 per month. I think that is pretty cool! If you want to buy, there are incredible opportunities right now.
So if you love the beach, and love being 10 minutes to anything you may want, the "Golden Triangle" is a great place to live!
